Gus
31” x 45” Spray Paint on Deep Edged Panel with Resin
The Highland Cow, or Hielan Coo, is a Scottish breed of rustic cattle. They were initially bred to withstand intemperate conditions and have been described as having a similar tolerance to cold as arctic dwelling caribou and reindeer. It’s been found that the cattle have a clear structure and hierarchy of dominance which reduces aggression and the cows are friendly and playful in nature. This type of cow has been exported to many parts of the world, “Gus” resides just 13 miles south of me in Bellevue, Idaho. Original image was taken by local photographer Hillary Mayberry.
